Instagram Instants is the new disappearing-photo feature Instagram rolled out in August 2026, and it has already picked up coverage from mainstream US outlets. Instants let you send a quick, unedited photo to your Close Friends or mutual followers that disappears once it has been seen. If you use Insta Pro APK and you are wondering whether the mod supports this yet, here is what we actually know.
What Instagram Instants Actually Does
Instants work differently from a normal post or Story. You open your DM inbox, tap a stack of small photo icons, and snap a picture on the spot. There is no filter step and no caption-heavy editing flow, just a fast photo you send to people who already follow you back or who are on your Close Friends list. Once the recipient views it, the photo disappears, it cannot be screenshotted, and it expires within 24 hours if nobody opens it. There is also a short undo window right after you send one, in case you change your mind.
Meta is also testing Instants as a standalone app in a handful of markets, separate from the main Instagram app, though the DM-based version is what most US users are seeing first.
Does Insta Pro APK Support Instants?
Short answer: yes, it follows the same rollout as the official app. Instants is switched on from Instagram’s side, account by account, as part of its DM system. Insta Pro is built on the official Instagram app, and the current v15.90 runs on the Instagram 439.0.0.38.89 base, so when Instagram enables Instants for your account, it appears in your Insta Pro inbox the same way it does in the official app.
And if Instagram ships an app update that Instants needs, Insta Pro keeps pace. New versions ship within 1 to 2 weeks of every official Instagram release. Check our Insta Pro APK changelog for the latest build notes.
What You Can Do in the Meantime
- Stay on the latest v15.90 from our Download page, so your app runs on the newest Instagram base.
- If you don’t see Instants yet, it simply hasn’t reached your account. The same is true on the official app, so switching apps won’t unlock it.
- Avoid downloading third-party ‘Instants unlocker’ files that are not from the official Insta Pro source, since new-feature hype is a common way for fake APKs to spread.
- Read Instagram’s own rollout notes for background, for example this Good Morning America coverage of the Instants launch.
A Quick Safety Note
Whenever Instagram ships a splashy new feature, search results fill up with APKs claiming early access to it. Only install Insta Pro from a source you already trust, verify the version number against our download page, and skip any file that asks for unusual permissions just to send a disappearing photo.
Bottom Line
Instagram Instants is a genuine, notable feature launch, and Insta Pro gets it the same way the official app does: Instagram turns it on account by account. If it hasn’t shown up in your inbox yet, it simply hasn’t reached your account.
