Should You Use v15.80 Instead of the Latest?
v15.80 is the build right before v15.85, and the current release is now v15.90. It is a good fallback if v15.90 behaves differently on your phone, and it already runs on the newer Instagram 439.0.0.38.89 base.

Why Some Users Stay on Insta Pro v15.80
v15.80 came out in October 2026, just before v15.85. For a lot of people it’s the safe fallback: if the newest build acts up on your phone, v15.80 is the closest thing to it, running on the same Instagram base with almost the same feature set. That’s the main reason we keep it available instead of removing it once a newer version ships.
The Two Changes That Came With v15.80
This was a small, focused update. We tested both changes on our own devices before writing this page.
- Liquid Glass look. Instagram’s new glassy, see-through interface style was switched on for some accounts. It rolls out account by account, so if you install v15.80 and your app still looks the same, nothing is broken. It simply hasn’t reached your account yet.
- Search bar fixed. On the previous build, searching from the Instagram search bar sometimes returned nothing. v15.80 fixed that, so finding profiles, hashtags and audio works normally again.
Everything from earlier releases is still here, including the hidden mod settings and the Hide Chat Icon fix from v15.75, and Picture-in-Picture from v15.70.
What You Miss by Not Updating to v15.90
Here’s an honest look at what v15.85 and v15.90 add on top of v15.80, so you can decide for yourself:
- Build expiry extended, so the app keeps launching for longer
- Random crash fixes, including the crashes some Android 15 users were seeing
- Story thumbnails showing at the right size again
- Audio saving together with downloaded videos and Reels
- A new in-app Reel preview, so you can check a Reel before saving it
- The MOD settings crash fix and better Story customization from v15.90
If none of these matter to you and v15.80 runs well on your phone, there’s no rush. Just keep in mind that every Insta Pro build eventually expires, and only newer releases push that date back.
